Subsea 7 at Subsea Expo 2017

At this year’s Subsea Expo Conference, Subsea 7 will demonstrate how it is leading the way on technology development, innovation and collaboration to address industry challenges and deliver client value.

As part of the ‘Fields of the Future’ technical conference session, Subsea 7 Mechatronics Engineer, Mostafa Hendawy, will discuss new application opportunities for the Pipeline Bundle, in both shallow water (North Sea) as well as deepwater developments.

For the exploration of High Pressure-High Temperature fields, Pipeline Bundles offer a technical and commercial advantage, providing the necessary insulation and integrity for transporting hydrocarbons at high temperatures.

Recent developments in fibre optic sensing technology allow for real-time structural and functional health monitoring of the Pipeline Bundle. The ability to measure temperatures, strain and monitor the condition of the pipeline can significantly improve safety and performance. Preventing and detecting failure will result in reduced time and cost for maintenance and repair, assuring the performance and integrity of the pipeline bundle throughout its lifetime.

Hear more about the advances of 'fibre optic instrumented Pipeline Bundles for High Pressure-High Temperature developments' at Subsea Expo Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, ‘Fields of the Future’ - Thursday 2 February, 10:30 in room Balmoral/18.

Subsea 7 is also presenting:

  • ‘Impact of the Efficiency Task Force (ETF) – Main contractors perspective’ presented by Alan Black – Thursday 2 February in the Forbes Suite between 13:55 – 16:30

  • ‘Electrically Heat Traced Flowline (EHTF) improving cost and reliability for new developments’ presented by Arnaud Reveilloux in the Subsea Springboard Session – Friday 3 February between 10:30 – 13:30
